Bulgaria is a country in Southeast Europe, in the eastern part of the Balkan peninsula and occupies 22% of its territory. The country's population is 7.4 million people.

The Golden Sands resort is the largest one on the northern Black Sea coast. 
It is situated in environmentally-clean bay, 18 km north-east of Varna, 488 km east of Sofia. The resort is located in Golden Sands Nature Park on an area of over 1320 hectares. It is bounded on the north by Kranevo village and on the south by Chaika (Seagull) villa, and merges with the resort of St. St. Constantine and Helena.
Golden Sands is the winner of a “Blue Flag” – a prestigious international award for environmentally clean resorts.
The temperatures vary between 24 and 29оС. The microclimate of Golden Sands throughout the season makes it a wonderful place for having a rest and fun.
The warm sea and the wonderful beach as well as the marvelous deciduous wood turn the resort into one of the pearls of the Bulgarian coast. Its beach strip is 3,5 km long and 100 m wide at some places and is covered with fine golden sand.
